KCT B.Ed College Gulbarga, started its functioning in the year 2004 situated at Qamar-Ul-Islam Colony, Gulbarga – Karnataka. This college for both boys and girls, occupying an area of 6.12 acres of land, is an affiliated college recognised under the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). KCT B.Ed College offers two post graduate specialised programmes in education in which total enrolment capacity is 177. This college has a staff strength of 16 full time faculties keeping the patient-teacher ratio intact and highly optimised to deliver superior quality education.

This college has a number of present day facilities that act as a developer of learning amongst its learners. Classroom learning consists of a large library stocked with knowledge-based books while practical courses are taken in departmental laboratories. In student activities it has event and seminar centre, auditorium which enhances and amplifies the academic life of the institution. The facilities, which are made available to the students at this university includes: cafeteria, a health centre including a first aid section and well equipped information technology facilities. To address the biosocial, if one is interested in facing the gym and play various games, the college has provided an opportunity for that. Men and women students would also find comfort in having their own hostels as they go through their college studies.

KCT B.Ed. College currently offers two full-time courses. A B. Ed. programme with 100 admissions and a D. Ed. programme with 50 admissions were started. They are both two-year programs, which afford a broad exposure to both the theoretical aspects of education and the practical application of theories. In particular, the B.Ed enlists mostly on merit that entails marks secured in the qualifying examination or entrance test as per the state government and university norms.

KCT B.Ed. College admission policies are also fair and the criterion to select the students is equally Voluntary & Fair. For admissions to B.Ed programme, the merit policy as such, scales of marks in the qualifying examination and entrance test are considered. The college also takes into consideration any other method of selection as may be laid down by the UT administration/State Government and the University. This approach provides a holistic coverage which guarantees the selection of right cadre of students with aptitude and passion for teaching.
