Kenway College of Education, Abohar, Punjab, India, has been one of the leading institutes for teacher training in the state of Punjab. The B. Ed courses offered at the College are affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak. And the College has gained accreditation from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has been approved and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which ensures that the standards of education provided by the College are high. Primarily admissions to Kenway College of Education would be merit-based, according to board marks obtained in qualifying exams and/or entrance tests. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed course offered at Kenway College of Education has 200 seats as permitted intake. The selection process follows with those of the state government, U.T. administration, and that of the university. Candidates eligible to apply to the B.Ed program should have graduation in relevant subjects.
M.Ed (Master of Education): The M.Ed program has a capacity of 50 at Kenway College for study in education. Like the B.Ed program, admission into the M.Ed program depends on merit as determined by marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college also adopts the selection process according to policies of the state government as well as U.T. administration and the university. Candidates with a B.Ed degree or equivalent can join the M.Ed program.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed program at Kenway College of Education has an intake capacity of 50 seats. Admission to this course is made strictly on the basis of the qualifying marks secured by an applicant in the qualifying examination, along with an entrance test conducted to admit candidates in the D. El. Ed program. The educational qualification required for this diploma course is essentially successful passing of higher secondary (10+2).
