Kerala University College Of Teacher Education Kayamkulam is the college of teacher education which was started in the year 1997 which is one of the most renowned college providing education to the future teachers. This affiliated college is situated at Kayamkulam, Kerala and it is fully recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for training good quality teachers. Located on a tight 1.235 acres of land, the College provides a niche training ground for prospective teachers. The institution has a total enrollment of one hundred students and has ten faculties which are ideal since the institution stresses student- faculty ratio implying that in any class, there must be one faculty for every ten students.

For this reason, the college has developed various facilities that will help improve the learning environment of the students. This liberalise maintains a stock of over 7,648 books excluding 5,700 titles and 327 reference book resources meant to support scholarly endeavours. The reading room comfortably occupies fifty students at a time enabling them achieve their study and research goals. A gymnasium promotes health-related physical fitness; we also have an auditorium for events and seminars. 

The institution also has modernity in class, laboratories and IT facilities in complement with enhanced teaching techniques. A lush green playground, a centre for health care facility and first aid facilities, an eating place or canteen and other minor office like facilities such as photocopying facilities, stations for selling stationery items etc are available to meet the day to day requirements of students/teachers.

Kerala University College of Teacher Education, Kayamkulam is one of the prominent Colleges, offering education in teaching. The college currently offers one full-time course: for example the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. This degree programme takes two years and has an accredited capacity to admit fifty students in line with the determination of the institution to offer quality education.
