Khalsa College of Education, Sri Muktsar Sahib: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Khalsa College of Education Sri Muktsar Sahib is one of the Premier institutions dealing in teacher education since 1956. This is a coeducational college, situated in the province of Punjab which aims at offering quality teacher education. The college occupies a small area of 2 acre and therefore the college is quite small and suitable for learning. At this moment, it mean 87 learners in the institution and faculty learners who are 7 dedicated members who enable learners to have close and adequate support as they get guided.

Khalsa College of Education has modern facilities to support the learning teaching process of the students. It is an academic resource centre where all academic and related literature can be obtained by various users. For the physically inclined students the college has well developed accsessible sports facilities so that students could have their dosage of exercise along with their studies. There are always facilities for the guest house and waiting room for the visiting faculty and members of the family. The college also has a functional alumni association through which it has a closeness of having former students as alumni.

Currently, Khalsa College of Education is exclusively engaged in offering professional teacher education and only one full-time course is affiliated to it namely the B.Ed. This two-year programme has an approved intake of one hundred seats for candidates who would like to transform the face of education. The syllabi of the B.Ed course have been developed in a manner such that the students can receive the right type of education needed in the contemporary teaching environment.

As for the admission at Khalsa College of Education, the admission process is based on a test so as to get the most motivated and capable students for completing the B.Ed. programme. The college is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which assures about the standard and authenticity of the teacher education programme of the college.
