Khalsa College of Pharmacy is being established in the year 2009 and is one of the leading pharmacy colleges in the region of Amritsar in the state of Punjab. This affiliated college, located in a 4 acre area, will be exclusively for pharmaceutical studies and development. The Jaypee University has been recognised by major higher educational regulatory bodies including All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to offer the course. The institute has a total of 6 courses for the students across 3 degree levels the students intake is 211. KCOP has faculty strength of forty experienced professionals; thereby the institution has a small and effective student- faculty ratio so as to allow the students to get adequate focus and growth.
Khalsa College of Pharmacy has installed state of the art facilities that aim at improving the learning process and personal development of ALL students. The well stocked up library is equipped to support the students needs and is a repository of books in the field of pharmaceuticals and other allied subjects. It also subscribes to over a hundred electronic journals from Elsevier and Bentham, reprographic services, high speed internet and computer linkages. In terms of practical training, KCOP has provided departmental laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment. With regard to accommodation, classes organised and bright, laminated, with sufficient ventilation to ensure proper airing, equipped with multimedia projectors, computers, and other tools used in teaching-learning process.
To meet this goal, KCOP provides a comprehensive of pharmaceutical courses to satisfy all those who might have different goals in their career paths. The institute offers 9 full-time courses which include B.Pharma, D.Pharma and four specialisations in M.Pharma. The B.Pharma programme has a student capacity of sixty students the D.Pharma programme has an equal capacity for sixty students. M.Pharma degree programmes offered at postgraduate level have fields of specialisation in Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology, and each programme enrolls 12-15 students. The richness of the course offer allows the student, in their choice of electives, to have sufficient opportunities to focus on the chosen pharmaceutical specialities.
Education process of Khalsa College of Pharmacy admission process is highly merit oriented to provide opportunity for most deserving candidates to pursue their desired field of pharmacy. For B.Pharma and D.Pharma programme, the admissions are given through merit only in the concerned examination. Khalsa College of Pharmacy (KCOP), Amritsar, is one of the leading pharmacy institutions in India and Punjab. The college provides a broad spectrum of pharmaceutical programs such as diploma, bachelor's, and master's degrees. The admission process at KCOP is designed to address the ample requirements of deserving candidates desirous of pursuing their urge for pharmacy professions.
Different programs have different eligibility criteria. The B.Pharma is an undergraduate program demanding that students have passed the examination in 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics for admission. For M.Pharma, which is a postgraduate program, eligibility requires a B.Pharma graduate degree. Typically, for admission into the D.Pharma course, a minimum of passing in 10+2 with science subjects is required.

Degree Wise Admission process
B.Pharma- KCOP takes in 60 students for its Bachelor of Pharmacy program. Admission is done based on merit in the qualifying exam (10+2) and the course duration is for four years.
D.Pharma- The Diploma in Pharmacy can take in 60 students. Admission, like B.Pharma, is strictly on merit according to the candidate's score of 10+2. It is a two-year diploma course.
M.Pharma- KCOP offers M.Pharma in four specializations, namely Pharmacy Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology, with each specialization accepting 15 students. Admission will be on Common Entrance Test (CET) or counseling procedure. Candidates must possess B.Pharma for eligibility.
Pharm.D: The Doctor of Pharmacy course takes in 30 students. Probably a combination of academic merit and possibly an entrance examination.
B.Sc Medical Laboratory Science: Expected admissions will be for 60 students. Admission is not detailed but presumed to be based on 10+2 science.
M.Sc Medical Laboratory Science: The available seats for this postgraduate program is 30, and the eligibility criteria are most likely linked up with a Bachelor's Degree in the relevant discipline.
