Khamargachi B Ed College, Hooghly: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Khamargachi B.Ed. College, established in 2009, is one of the affiliated institutions in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This institution is a co-educational one, especially for the purpose of teacher education and is located in. Two full-time courses are provided by this institute: B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. The college got approval from the NCTE and has a compact campus of 0.643 acres. With an intake of students totaling 199 and a faculty strength of 17, Khamargachi B.Ed. College ensures a close learning environment for the would-be educators.

The institution has a host of facilities aimed at enriching the learning processes of its students. There is a knowledge hub in the form of a well-stocked library, supplemented by departmental laboratories that allow hands-on learning. There are separate hostels for boys and girls to make students feel at home during their course of studies. Khamargachi B.Ed. College offers at present two comprehensive courses in teacher education. The Bachelor of Education is a two-year full-time course with an approved intake of 100 students. The Diploma in Elementary Education is also a two-year full-time program with an intake capacity of 50 students. The programs bring the goal of providing the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in a teaching career. 

The admission process to Khamargachi B.Ed. College is merit-based, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or Entrance Examination. The institution follows the state government of West Bengal and the affiliating university's policies in admitting students for its offered programs. In addition, selection into the B.Ed. program may be based on other criteria as per the University's guidelines. Regarding D.El.Ed. admission, this shall be based on the State Government or UT administration's policies.
