KK Wagh College of Horticulture is private horticultural college situated in Nashik, Maharashtra, India. This affiliated college was established in the year 2013 though it has gained centre stage in agricultural education. Self-financed and affiliated to Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, the college is recognised by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). Most of the college’s classes are small, with a total of 151 students enrolled and 12 faculty members in the college. At the moment, the institution has only one degree programme, B.Sc. Horticulture (Hons) that admitting 40 students, annually, and demonstrating its focus on quality provision of education in the specific area of study. 

KK Wagh College of Horticulture has several facilities that aim at improving the student experience and all academics endeavours. The campus has facilities which are important for students’ practical classes particularly in horticulture. Accompanying the college is a combined library which provides necessary knowledge for students and teachers. In terms of physical fitness there are sports grounds and a gym for students at the college. Segregation of hostels for boys and girls makes the accommodation of student from diverse regions to be easily facilitated. The college also has an auditorium for events and seminars so as to enhance academic activities of the college. Other facilities are cafeteria,IT facilities and even a Health Centre with first aid facilities to meet all the needs of the students.

In the academic front, KK Wagh College of Horticulture keep themselves restricted to providing quality education only in horticulture. The flagship programme of the college is the B.Sc. Horticulture (Hons.), a studentship programme offered in full time for four years. This programme aims at equipping the systematically organised students with knowledge and skills in different realm of horticulture. The course currently envisages a total of forty seats per year so that students receive adequate attention and the available resources are properly utilised. The costs of this programme are around Rs 300000 for the total course, which is a considerable expense for the delivery of specialised agricultural knowledge.

The process of admission in KK Wagh College of Horticulture has been made in a way so as to attract horticulture students having capability to do something special. Notably, 80 percent of the total seats are available under the MPKV, Rahuri merit-based system- MCAER, Pune control. This guarantees that learners with good grades achieve their dreams in the area of horticulture. The 20% of the seats are centrally referred to as a Management Quota, which serves as another channel for students who wish to be horticulturists. Unfortunately, there is no daily exam availability However, those wishing to enrol are encouraged to follow the college’s website and the college’s communications to monitor the admission schedules. KK Wagh College of Horticulture, with its specialised exposure towards horticultural field, facilities and its position in the prominent horticulture and agricultural area i.e. Nashik, gives good scope for the students interested in horticulture. Due to its tie up with ICAR and the range offered by its course structure, the college makes students job ready and highly skilled in the field of horticulture which plays its part in agricultural sector of India.
