KLB DAV College for Girls, Palampur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

KLB DAV College for Girls is a leading educational institution situated in the Kkangra district of Himachal Pradesh and was started in year 1969. This affiliated college, located in a 5.26 acre area, has a student strength of 700 students and provides a wide selection of such undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It has NAAC accreditation and NCTE and AICT actions education approvals and recognition for the same. The college comprises of 52 faculty members and offers 9 courses in various fields which gives a student spanning education to the all-female student population.

KLB DAV College for Girls is dedicated to the premise that students must be protected, and it provides a number of amenities for them. This has some well equipped library with good stock of book and references of various faculties, magazine and journal subscriptions also available. These include under graduate programmes like B.A, B.B.A, B.C.A, B.Com, B.Ed or postgraduate programmes like M.A, M.Com, M.C.A. Also,the college has opened Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) stream. Overall approved student enrollment is 700 and number of places available for each course are 40 to 120 in each course. The college provides quality education which in turn means that many of its students are successful.

The admission procedures of the KLB DAV College for Girls are different for different courses. For degree programmes such as BBA, and BCA, intimation is done based on merit by adding the marks scored in the qualifying examination. B.Ed programme adopts a more formal procedure of admitting its students with the criterion depending on the merit of the qualifying examination/entrance test as prescribed by the state government and the university respectively. For postgraduate courses like MCA and M.Com admissions are through the entrance tests and counseling arranged by Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. D.El.Ed programme also conducts an admission process based on merit as per mark of qualifying examination or entrance test as prescribed by the state governments.
