College of education, Kle Society’s College, Hubli, Karnataka, was set up in 1986, and focuses on education of teachers. Situated in Vidyanagar, Hubli, Karnataka, this co – educational college has NAAC accreditation and the National Council for Teacher Education approval. It operates as an affiliated college and presents two postgraduate courses in education with an extended student enrolment of 235 students. An area of 0.68615 acres of the campus houses 13 faculties to train prospective teachers in quality B.El and M.El programs.
This college has put forwarded numerous facilities that have the purpose of improving the learning process of students. The knowledge center is a library that has in excess of 13,000 books and uses the current national journals and periodicals. KLE Society's College of Education offers two full-time courses: a Bachelors Degree in Education (B.ED,) and a Masters Degree in Education (M.ED). The B.Ed program was approved for an enrolment of one hundred students and the M.Ed program for fifty students. These two programs take two years, in order to give comprehensive methods of learning and skills needed in the teaching profession. Centring these specialized programs in the college frees the college to focus on delivering quality education to train teachers to suit the college’s and the current education sector needs.
The admission procedure adopted in KLE Society’s College of Education will solely depend on marks obtained by the students and is in conformity with the policies of the state government, UT administration and the affiliated university. For the B.Ed program, the admission is based on the percentage and or an entrance test as the case may be. Like the M. Sc course, the M. Ed also has provisions for admission on the basis of mere pass in the qualifying test or Supplementary Examination conducted for the purpose in respect of the qualifying examination or an entrance test for the general category.
