KLE Society’s Jagadguru Tontadarya College, Gadag was set up in 1958 and is one of the premier colleges situated at Gadag, Karnataka. This affiliated college which is accredited to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) provides a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Located on 32.5 acre land, the college offers study programs to 1,597 students of all levels and has 60 faculty members. The institution teaches 11 courses under 7 degrees of arts commerce science and computer applications. There are more females with 60% and male are 40% and class strength hasUG students as 93% and PG students as 7%.

A range of services exist within the college to improve on the student’s experience. There are separate hostels for boys and girls on the campus which are having reading rooms mess and purified water is provided. The schools have a health center with first aid facility to meet the medical needs of students and staff. But of course, the college has its own gym and elaborate sports infrastructure – a large playground with a 400-meter raised athletic field, and a gymkhana hall. It is an indicative of this that the library of the institute contains more than 67000 books and the institute has Internet & Xerox facilities. The college also Provides modern Computer Lab with 60 PCs and internet facility to facilitate the IT oriented education in the college.

The Jagadguru Tontadarya College of KLE Society involves a plethora of courses in the proportional academic disciplines. These comprise of 5 under graduate and 3 post graduate programs The institution offers 11 courses of which two are at the under graduate level while three are post graduate. Offering under graduation programs include BA, B.Sc, B.Com and BCA and the post graduation programs include M.Com, M.Sc Physics and M.Sc Mathematics. All courses are full time, regular programs. The total approved intake for all the offered courses is 1,597 for bright chances for entry level student with desire to have a chance in aviation. Although the actual number of graduates for the latest year is nowhere mentioned, the fact points to the large student enrollment and the College’s represented range of courses that indicates its provision of quality education.

KLE Society’s Jagadguru Tontadarya College aims at maintaining a brilliantly qualified admission process for all categories of students. As for the dates, it is not clear with such admission, but students are welcome to study the Website of the college, or call to the admission office to know the dates. Applications are invited for different courses in the college according to their merit in the qualifying examinations. No entrance tests are listed but students are advised to check if there are any with reference to specific courses. 

This is true given that the institution is willing to give scholarships to appealing and deserving students. Education is expensive” but thanks to our college 940 undergraduate and 44 postgraduate students had their fees reimbursed in the 2021 academic year. Such information is not available in the college but it is pleased to note that the college has a vibrant alumni association that keenly supports the college’s progress and many alumni have positively impacted the college.
