KLE Society’s Shri Mrityunjaya College of Arts and Commerce, Dharwad was started in the year 1973-74 as a first gateway venture in the field of higher education in Karnataka. Recognized by NAAC and has received A+ grade this institution aims at offering quality education in arts and commerce streams. Located over an area of 2.2 acre the college has a total student strength of 1,062 students with 63% of the students being male and 37% female at undergraduate level, while 30% students are male and 70% female at post graduate level. The college hosts 3 courses in 3 degrees and has a faculty of 30 members and focuses primarily in arts and commerce.

The college also has a number of facilities in order to provide the best for its students as they learn. It also boasts a rich collection of reference books, journals, articles and other important digital information sources. Sophisticated laboratory facilities meet departmental requirements, and give learners exposure to practical application.

The Full Time courses being offered by KLE Society’s Shri Mrityunjaya College of Arts and Commerce are 3 in Number of. These are; There are two under part programs, BA and B.Com each that takes a duration of 3 years, and one post graduate program M.Com that takes a duration of 2 years. In total, the college has a student intake of 737 students depending on the course being offered. In the last academic year, the total students enrolled in the institution were 1,062, of which 1,001 were under graduate students and 61 post graduate students.

KLE Society’s Shri Mrityunjaya College of Arts and Commerce follows mainly an academic criterion with reference to marks in the previous examination. With regard to goals, the college wants to deliver education, opportunities to students with different backgrounds, focusing on students from rural areas.
