Situated in Madurai – the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu in South India, KM College of Pharmacy is a well known institution of pharmacy education was started in 1981. This college is located at Uthangudi, Madurai; this co-educational college offers the programs in pharmacy at the UG as well as PG level. PCI approved KM College of Pharmacy work as an affiliated college so the quality education is maintained in the field of pharmacy. 

This is a hill top campus campus, located in a serene environment occupies an area of 1.5acres for its operations. The college also has a student-teacher ratio of 13; a total of 582 students and 44 members of the faculty. As stated the institute teach 5 courses in three levels of degree programmes covering different fields of pharmaceutical sciences.

The college provides a number of learning amenities that are intended to facilitate the academic process of students. A fully stocked-up library proves to be an important informative center which receives a wide coverage of pharmaceutical literature and other materials. The school compound has well equipped technologically enabled laboratories which provide practical exercise to the students in different areas of pharmacy. In order to facilitate the students, there are separate hostel accommodations for both male and female students. 

The college also has a health center where different first aid equipment and facilities are provided for students health. Spending on sporting infrastructure is done with the help of recreation and sports to enhance fitness in the population. A college incorporates many contemporary approaches of learning hence the college has a modern IT system, and In order to sup Guildford College also provides a cafeteria for the nutrition concerns of the learners and staff. Amenities such as an auditorium as used in this case in cases of events and seminars help in creating the academic environment.

Apart from the traditional UG course, the KM College of Pharmacy offers other pharmacy courses that includes the PG, Diploma, and M.Pharm. The institute offers 5 full-time programs out of which it offers 3 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate degree courses. At undergraduate level, the college offers B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy) with the strength capacity of 90 and D.Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy) with a strength capacity of 100. The postgraduate courses are M.Pharma various specializations for 15 seats each Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical analysis and Pharmacy Practice. Overall, it has a admitting capacity of 582 students on all courses offered in the college. From information in the year 2022 enrollment details it is shown that college strength was 413 in total 370 students in under graduate and 43 students in post graduate course.

It is critically important for KM College of Pharmacy to establish proper and efficient admission policy that is accurate. As the case of B.Pharma, students are recruited into the academic programs with a qualifying cut off mark that depends on their performance in entrance examinations as well as other academic qualifications. The D.Pharm program offering also follows the same admission process as mentioned above.
