About KMCT College of Allied Health Science KMCT College of Allied Health Science, Kozhikode was established in the year 2013 and has become one of the leading college for health care education in Kerala,India. This affiliated college situated at Manassery P.O, Mukkam provides ladder and post-ladder level courses and programs in allied health sciences. The College has a total strength of students 372 and faculty strength is 24 The college offers quality education in health-care sector. 

The college was established to provide education in four full time undergraduate courses namely a) BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) b) BSc MLT (Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology) c) BOptom (Bachelor of Science in Optometry) and d) BSc Perfusion Technology thus covering a vast area of interest in the allied health field.

This college has availed a countless number of functional and enhanced facilities that make the learning process easier for the college students. The key facility in any academic resources is a fully stocked library that encompasses all possible book supplies, allied health sciences journals, and digital information resources. The library also has large reading and discussion section which creates a good atmosphere for research and group study. 

To ensure practical skills are learned by the students, KMCT provides different department-based laboratories to equip the students with practical knowledge about different departments. At present, the KMCT College of Allied Health Science has four total undergraduate courses, and all the courses are full time. The concept of these courses is to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in their advertised fields of allied health sciences.

At KMCT College of Allied Health Science, admissions are based on the student’s performance in KMCEE (Kerala Medical Co-Operative Education Entrepreneur Ltd.) which follows norms prescribed by the Kerala Government and Kerala University of Health Sciences. Pursuant to the rules of this University, students to be offered for admission are chosen in accordance to performance and other factors as deemed appropriate by the authorities. 

Unfortunately, no concrete dates for the exams are given, but the candidate must ensure he or she monitors the college on matters concerning admission usually in the college’s communication platforms. The college offers admission in its BPT and B.Sc. courses in medical lab technician, optometrist and a perfusion specialist.
