KMCT Polytechnic College is a technical college in the city of Kozhikode, Kerala commenced in the year 2004. The AICTE approved affiliated college has stood out and established a well recognized identity in technical education. The college is located in a colossal area of 5.477 Acres combines both glamour and utility and offers various Diploma Programme. The college has a total student intake of 1567 and its faculty strength is 90 so effectively manages the environment needed by students for their learning.

KMCT Polytechnic College’s amenities are a plethora of resources deemed to boost the general learning environment. The KMCT Polytechnic College has a variety of diploma course offerings – all of which are three-year, full time programmes. It is offering ten unique diploma programmes which accommodate the various engineering fields. Some of these are Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Electrical and electronics engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics hardware Engineering, Instrumentation control Engineering, automobile Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Architecture Engineering and Tool and die Engineering. The college has got an overall approved capacities of 660 for these courses and the course with the highest capacity is the mechanical engineering with a capacity of 120 while the rest of the courses offer an average capacity of sixty each.

The admission process of the KMCT Polytechnic College is much easier for any student who wants to pursue the course. It is not mentioned clearly on how the admission process is carried out, but it is a tradition for the polytechnic colleges in Kerala to select students depending on the marks they obtained in the qualifying examination which is the 10th standard. Presumably the admission process in this college is also in compliance with those standards provided by the Department of Technical Education, Kerala.
