Kongunadu College of Education is located in Tiruchirappalli and was initialized in the year 2007, the institution has set its goal to build up the future of education. The Tholurpatti campus of Thottiam Taluk in Trichy is a co-educational college set on an area of 6.68 acres. It is affiliated college which has got recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) so as to quality in teacher education. The institute run two postgraduate courses which enrolled 367 student, and were facilitated by 26 committed faculty members. Kongunadu College of Education offers two full-time courses: B.Ed. or Bachelor of Education and DEl.Ed. commonly known as Diploma in Elementary Education. The B.ED programme is both two-year duration programme having intake capacity of 100 and D.EL.ED ordinary duration two-year having intake capacity of 50. These programmes are meant to prepare students to acquire relevant skills and knowledge in the area of education. The college has registered total student intake capacity of 150 with emphasis on quality education constant through small classes.

Kongunadu College of Education selects the students through entrance examination and/or the marks scored in the qualifying examination.
