Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science (KKCAS) is an autonomous college that was started in the year 1996 and situated at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Situated on a campus size of 10.15 acres, KKCAS enjoys 21 courses under 9 degrees to its 768 enrolments. NAAC recognises the college; it is a co-educational college with 44 teaching faculty members. KKCAS has a 1:1 gender distribution, with 322 males and 337 females studying both undergraduate (93%) and postgraduate (7%) education. Solid evidence of the foregoing is the range and quality of these courses, as well as the facilities available in the institute.

KKCAS offers a wide array of services for improving students’ stay at the university. Additionally, the college boasts of infrastructure with a first aid medical facility and an ambulance service for round-the-clock service, besides a fully equipped gymnasium. Besides, there are various games facilities such as ball badminton, volley ball, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho, etc. The infrastructure includes 306 computers, located in four laboratories, managed by our experienced system engineers. Other facilities available are canteen, transport, ATM within the compound, car parking, internet, and a shop.

The institute has developed a richness of courses to offer students and these consist of 21 courses in total from different faculties. These include undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, degree programmes full-time, research degree programmes, etc. The college's total of student intake is 768 across all the courses offered in this college. The courses that are in high demand by students include B.Com, B.Com Computer Applications, BCA, B.Sc Computer Science, and other MSC and M.COM programmes. M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes are there for the student who are interested in doing research in computers and commerce branches in the college.

Admission to the courses in KKCAS is very selective, but it offers admission to all those who make application based on merit. Although certain examinations are not outlined in detail, the college may use the performance in corresponding qualifying examinations when considering a student’s admission into various programmes. Currently, the institute has a knit local link with 99% students from the state for undergrad and 100% for postgraduate programme. This shows a possibility of high regional market penetration and easy access to the target students. KKCAS also show’s the institutions concerns in gender diversity by almost 50/50 split of male to female students in undergraduate levels.
