KPD Shikshan and Prashikshan College, Maharaj Ganj: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Located at Maharaj Ganj, Uttar Pradesh, KPD Shikshan and Prashikshan College was established in the year 2009 and is an affiliated college. Being the educational backbone of the region, it offers a wide variety of programs across different disciplines. This NCTE-approved college has now reached a strength of 991 students in total, further divided into various programs with a faculty strength of 21. Adopting the motto of imparting quality education, KPD Shikshan and Prashikshan College offers 7 courses in undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs. 

The institution has various facilities to assist its students in learning and development. At the hub of these facilities is a well-stocked library, reputed to be one of the finest amongst inter-collegiate in Agra, with an inventory of over 16,000 books for reference and study. The institution also features department-specific laboratories that provide hands-on learning opportunities to students in their respective fields. Sports facilities are available for those who are more inclined toward the physical development aspects of their personality, thereby promoting a well-rounded approach toward education.

 The KPD Shikshan and Prashikshan College participates in four well-equipped computer laboratories with advanced hardware and software infrastructure in the digital age. Furthermore, the college aims to ensure that students are fine with health and have a health center that renders first-aid to students. It also provides convenient parking facilities to all faculty, staff, and students. The KPD Shikshan and Prashikshan College forms an integral part of the varied academic landscape. 

The institution offers full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fields as varied as B.Sc, B.Com with the specialisation of Chartered Accountancy Honours, BA, MA in Sociology, and MA in Home Science. In addition, the college has a D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) programme, thus going all out for teacher education. This two-year diploma course has an approved intake of 50 students, thus reiterating and showing the prime focus of the college in the making of the future educator. Different interest courses are available in academics and provide the requirements that were needed in order to provide different choices to the students for many options in the future. 

The admission process at KPD Shikshan and Prashikshan College is modeled with the twin objectives of being fair and comprehensive. The colleges have an entrance test as a criterion of admission, along with availability, for most undergraduate programs like B.Sc, B.Com, and BA. It is such a process that makes sure that meritorious ones get the chance to pursue the fields they want. However, in the D.El.Ed. course, admission is made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination, as per the policies laid down by the State Government and the affiliated university. Whereas for MA in Sociology and MA in Home Science postgraduate programs, although there is no particular mention of the admission procedure, it is perhaps similar merit-based criteria. The college in its admission policy amply reflects its commitment to accessible education through the endeavor of the institution to offer opportunities of academic growth and development to a large and varied student population.
