Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna College of Education, set up in 1982 in Belgaum, is one of the premier institution in imparting teacher education. Nehru Nagar, Belgaum, Karnataka is the geographical interface of this co-educational institution, which occupies 5 acres of land. Its academic achievement can be evidenced by the fact that the institute holds National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation. Uttaranchal University is an affiliated college that functions under the guidelines set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE); therefore, its training conforms to the national requirement for trainers

Although Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna College of Education is a degree college, it mainly concentrates on teacher education with only a single course, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This course is a full-time, two-year course and is approved for an intake of one hundred students.
