Krishna College of Science and Rural Technology, Agra, (KCSRT) being an affiliated college of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, was established in 2000. Situated in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, the institute occupies as many as 10 acres of land. KCSRT provides 16 distinct courses within 9 degree programmes thus, meeting any academic major. The college takes a total of 565 intakes of students in its college and is run by 64 faculty members. KCSRT has approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in order to provide high quality education for its teacher training programmes. 

Krishna College of Science and Rural Technology has a variety of amenities that will improve the students’ stay and facilitate discovery and learning. The library in the institution boasts of a collection of more than 40 thousand books and other reading sources on different subjects, National journal subscription, national magazine subscription, and national newspaper subscription. In real-life experiences, KCSRT has laboratories for Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Military Science, Home Science, Health Education, and Sciences. The college also possesses FIR system accompanied by an IT facility that possess a computer centre having fifteen P3 & P4 systems with powers back up. As for boarding facilities, both separate hostels for boys and girls are offered. There is a spacious gymnasium hall and efficiently planned games field on the campus to accommodate all the sports requirements as per the norms of NCTE & State Government. Other facilities include a cafeteria, transport service, and an accommodation for guest faculty and students’ relatives.

KCSRT contains a wide and versatile number of courses in its offering in various fields of study. It offers 16 full-time courses that include major and minor degrees and postgraduate programmes. The Bachelor’s degree available in Government colleges for students include B.Sc Microbiology Group, B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Bio Group, B.Sc Mathematics Group, B.A and B.Com. For the academics enthusiasts, it provides B.Ed, D.El.Ed and B.P.Ed courses are available. There are different postgraduate programmes in Physics, Botany, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Hindi, Sociology, and Commerce. For B.P.Ed programme, the sanctioned number of seats are 50s. The college having cross section of desired programmes help in fulfilling the task of initial employment need of an individual.

Krishna College of Science and Rural Technology offers admission on merit, percentage acquired in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Each B.Ed programme has a specific policy and therefore to get admission in any B.Ed programme one has to undergo merit, the score obtained in the qualifying exams, entrance exams or other route as prescribed by respective state government and university. Like other programmes, the D.El.Ed programme also has the same format of following the state government /UT administration norms. Hence while B.P.Ed admissions involve filing of an entrance examination, test of physical fitness, an interview and qualified examination percentage. The system, therefore, guarantees that candidates are subjected to a range of assessment criteria important in the field of study.
