affiliated college named KS College of Education located in Salem, Tamil Nadu, was started in 2007. The Baba Sahab Writer’s women College, accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education, provides B.Ed. course. Located on 4 acres of land across the Periyar University, the institute takes a total of 161 students and has 16 faculty members. The college therefore concentrates in offering quality teacher education education and training that produces professional, qualified teachers for effective performance in the field of education.

Currently, the institute has endowed quality, well-equipped facilities to enhance the learning and development of the students. The modern, stocked, rich full-service library has over 7,000 books dealing with a variety of subjects, 20 popular and influential journals and about 15 useful magazines. The students also get to connect to the internet as well as DELNET to improve their research skills. We have well-equipped laboratory for Physical sciences, Biological sciences, Language skill developmental lab, Psychology and Education technology lab. Modern Computer Lab also caters to the technological requirements of a youth tentative to become an educator. Under the proper accommodation facility for students, the KS College of Education offers girls’ hostel having proper hygienic food and medicals. There is also provision for the cafeteria, games and athletic fields, open-air assembly for public meetings, seminars, etc., and a dispensary with basic first aid equipment and doctors.

KS College of Education currently only has one programme, that is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme. This full-time course takes two academic years and has an approved capacity of one hundred students. The B.Ed. programme is intended to prepare students for an effective teaching profession, focusing on both classroom experiments and lectures.

KS College of Education uses scored marks attained in the qualifying as well as entrance exams for admission of students.
