KS Maniam College of Education, Irukkur, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, was started in 2005. This is a NCTE-approved institution offering teacher education programmes. Situated on a 5.2 acre campus, the college offers two full-time courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. At present, the College takes a total of 110 students and has a faculty of 17; this preferred ratio makes KS Maniam College of Education ideal for students aspiring to become teachers. The college's commitment to quality education is evident in its average of 6 students per faculty, thus increasing chances of close and direct interaction between students and their teachers.

The learners in this college benefit from a number of infrastructural facilities which have been put in place to facilitate learning. Regarding physical development, there are games facilities such as volleyball courts accompanied by indoor games like chess, carom, table tennis, etc. The campus has well-established laboratories for Psychology, Physical Science, Biology, Language Laboratory and Educational Technology Laboratory.

KS Maniam College of Education offers two primary courses: a two-year full-time B.Ed. programme with 100 total seat and a two-year full-time D.El.Ed.  programme with a total of 50 seats. These programmes are meant to equip students to effective teaching careers at some of the educational level of their choice. Organisation of the curriculum and good equipment within the college points towards the practical training given by the college. All together, there are 150 seats out of all for both programmes and the given beneficiary ratio is optimum for the student-teacher interactive sessions.

KS Maniam College of Education follows the policy of merit and as such, candidates qualified for admission to the college will be considered depending on their performance in the qualifying or entrance test. Intake of students is governed by the policies set down by the state government of Tamil Nadu and the university to which it is affiliated.
