The KS Rangasamy Institute of Technology or KSRIT, with its campus situated in the tropical region of Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu, started functioning in the year 1984. Located in the silent and developing area of KSR Kalvi Nagar, KSRIT comprises several diploma courses for the engineering students. The institute has a total enrolment capacity of 1,016 students and 66 members in faculty and thus has a correct ambience.

KSRIT has established numerous facilities that complement the general learning process. The college boasts of a well-stocked library, which acts as an information centre for both the learners as well as the teachers. Modern classrooms containing glass boards and teaching aids, including OHP large projectors, are instrumental in teaching activities. This institute boasts well-equipped advanced laboratories manned by well-qualified lab assistants and possessing hi-tech equipment and software. For sport lovers, KSRIT provides a generous indoor stadium and a world-class swimming pool where, along with studies, students can enhance their fitness. The campus also has provided different hostels for boys and girls to enable them to have a home  with all the essentials they need.

At the moment, the institute has six diploma courses, and all the courses are day programmes that take three years to complete. The courses are Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Textile, and Electrical and Electronics. These programmes encompass all the specialisations of engineering that can be of interest to many professions. 

The admissions process in KSRIT is quite simple and designed in a way that is quite helpful for students.
