The year 2007 marked the inception of KSK College of Education situated at Thanjavur, where building the future stands as the key mission. Situated in Kumbakonam, a famous Taluk of Tamil Nadu, this affiliated college stretches its area of more than 5.25 acres of land. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), KSK College of Education is imparting quality teacher education. The college has a capacity of 277 students and a faculty of 22 members, which makes it a conducive environment for students who aspire to be teachers. The institution currently offers two full-time courses: teacher education B.Ed & M.Ed for undergrad and postgraduate categories.

KSK College of Education provides the academic concentration with two main subjects in teacher training. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme is a two-year full-time course that was approved to intake hundred students. For those who wish to pursue the master's degree in education, the Master of Education (M.Ed.) programme is also a two-year full-time curriculum offering 50 seats. As indicated, both programmes strive to prepare students with all the knowledge they require for practicing teaching and educational leadership careers. Based on its core mandate of offering quality education, the college’s provided courses incorporate adequate theoretical content, accompanied by real-life teaching practicums.

The admission policy followed at KSK College of Education Centre is based on merit, as prescribed by the state government of Jammu and Kashmir, the UT Administration, as well as the affiliated university. Candidates are admitted in the B.Ed. programme depending on their marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination.
