KTM College of Advanced Studies, Malappuram, commenced in 1986, is an affiliated college in Karuvarakundu, Malappuram District, Kerala State. This institution located in a 5.76 acre pieces of land provides specialised programmes in Arabic and Commerce streams. The college takes total strength as 261 and faculty members including teaching also 13 in number which makes it small in intake. This learner population consists of 96 male and 147 female learners, thus representing an appropriate gender distribution. KTM College holds approval by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which reflects the college focus on quality. The institution provides four-degree programmes such as undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies to meet people’s different goals and expectations.

KTM College of Advanced Studies has been structured with facilities that seek to improve the feel of the students. In its academics facilities, there is a rich library containing more than eight thousand titles, many reference books and national and international journals. For the students who are planning for technology, then college provides an efficient computerised lab complete with updated systems. This cnetre also fulfills the general curriculum requirement for and also offers short term certification courses in computer education. The campus has facilities of sports and games, a fully equipped auditorium for conducting events of seminars etc., and separate hostels for boys and girls. At present, KTM College of Advanced Studies is providing a total of four full time courses at different level of higher education. The undergraduate programmes offered are BA Arabic and B.Com They both take 40 students each. As for the postgraduate studies, the college provides MA Arabic with 20 seats of study. Also, there is a provision for the Ph.D. Arabic course with 10 seats for students who would like to promote Arabic through research. At present, the student enrolment across all the programmes offered in the college is 261 which basically shows that the college operates on the policy of admitting more of student, but in small numbers so as to increase enrolment while at the same time allowing the faculty achieve effective teaching and learning room capacity.
