KTR Women’s College is one of the women's day colleges and was started in the year 1970 at Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh. This affiliated college, approved by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), is committed to offering quality education for women only. The college is located on an 11-acre plot and provides several undergraduate programmes. The total number of students coming to KTR Women’s College is 217, while the total number of faculties is 24, so the college also has a good student-teacher ratio. The college houses several facilities that facilitate learning and general development of students in the college.
The well-stocked laboratories afford useful practical experience, especially for science-orientated students. KTR Women’s College possesses a library with a total strength of 24000 books, comprising a reading hall, a separate section for periodicals, and a circulation counter. MSC students and foundation ICT courses are also provided with a computer laboratory within the college. For sports and games enthusiasts, the college has an imposing indoor stadium and games facilities for handball, volleyball, table tennis, etc., thus adding up to the overall development of the students.
KTR Women’s College at present is offering six courses in three degree programmes all of which are full-time. It also offers specialisations in B.A., B.Com and many more in B.Sc. In addition, it also offers part-time programmes in diploma and certificate. These programmes are believed to address different academic needs that learners have depending on their field interests, just to mention a few: humanities and commerce, pure sciences, computer science, among others. Thus, the total approved enrolment for all the courses is 280 seats, and there are also many opportunities for wannabe students. It must be mentioned that some of the offered courses are taught in Telugu, for which the college has adequate credit for providing education in regional language.
