KU College of Engineering and Technology, Warangal, officially known as KUCET, is an affiliated college of Kakatiya University in the city of Warangal, Telangana. Located in the premises of Kakatiya University, this institution has been shaping the young generation of engineers and technologists. The college is recognised as a well-known engineering college. The college is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) which makes the college to operate on a set quality standard. The college has various infrastructure facilities that are meant to improve the learning environment of students. The keep of any academic resources is the library which is well endowed with the necessary materials for the student’s and faculty’s needs. The flagship programmes include Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses in the fields like Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and one of the new unique courses being offered – Computer Science & Engineering with Data Science. All these B.Tech programmes are planned and structured to allow the students take a full four years of their programme and equip them with knowledge and skills required in their areas of specialisation. KUCET also has provisions for postgraduation for those who seek to pursue their studies to the next level. These are a two-year full-time M.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering, MBA and MCA respectively. It reveals the thrust of KUCET to offer many courses as it corresponds to the diverse features of a specific career in the fast-developing technology sector at large.

There is a sound admission process as a policy in KU College of Engineering and Technology. For the undergraduate engineering programmes, the college admits majority of the students based on the rank obtained in the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). As one of the state-level entrance examinations, it is intended to test candidate’s abilities in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics prior to enrolling in engineer education. For postgraduate programmes such as MBA, the college accepts scores from the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET). The MBA admission procedure particularly GPAs exposes that those candidates who have qualified in the ICET examination only are found eligible for admission. Not only do these entrance exams assess the terminal specific academic ability of the candidates but also regulate a standardised entrance admission process in the state.
