KU School of Engineering Technology and Management, also known as Jorhat College of Engineering and Management, was set up in 2012 and situated in Jorhat, Assam, India. It is an affiliated college. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: KU School of Engineering Technology and Management conducts five B.Tech courses: Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Admission into these courses depends on the performance of the candidate in JEE Main, Assam CEE, or KUEST. The institute has an overall intake of 420 seats in all the B.Tech courses, of which Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering have the largest intake of 120 seats per course.
M.Tech: The college provides M.Tech courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering. Admission is largely dependent on GATE scores. The M.Tech Civil Engineering course has a sanctioned intake of 24 seats and M.Tech Mechanical Engineering 12 seats. One must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in the specific area to qualify.
MBA: The MBA programme of KU School of Engineering Technology and Management has an approved intake of 120 seats. The admissions are made on the basis of scores in CAT, MAT, or XAT and then through a selection process, which can be group discussions and personal interviews. The candidates need to have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and an entrance exam score.
B.Voc: The institute provides B.Voc courses in Automobile Servicing and Electrical Systems and Maintenance. These courses are for students seeking vocational education. The admission to B.Voc courses can be different from other undergraduate courses and is probably on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam.
Ph.D: Ph.D courses are offered in different engineering fields and management. The admission to Ph.D courses is on the basis of a university entrance test (KUEST) and a personal interview. Those candidates who have qualified NET-JRF/LS of CSIR-UGC/GATE/GPAT during the last 2 years in the respective subject are exempted from KUEST but are also eligible for appearing in the personal interview.
