KU School of Engineering Technology and Management, also known as Jorhat College of Engineering and Management, was set up in 2012 and situated in Jorhat, Assam, India. It is an affiliated college. This multi-disciplinary technical institute for boys and girls is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICT), New Delhi. Located in a vast area of 50 acres of land, the institute has 92 faculty members. KU School of Engineering Technology and Management offers 17 courses in 5 discipline areas: B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, B.Voc., and Ph.D. with dispensary in engineering and management streams.
The institute firmly believes in offering optimal and up-to-date infrastructural facilities to the learners. It provides a practical hall equipped for practical training, a conditioned hall for contracting learning facilities, and library equity with most of the collection for academic study. This allows flexible access to the internet for both the students and staff of the campus, as it is a wireless campus. The college also provides a distinct hostel facility for boys and girls, which helps students from different stations stay safely in a comfortable environment. A cafeteria is provided to meet the eating requirements of the campus populace and a health centre with first aid service for the benefit of the students and employees. Transport facilities are also provided in this institute with the view to making commuting easier for day scholars.
KU School of Engineering Technology and Management provides a wide range of areas of operation to suit various course measurements. The institute offers 5 B.Tech courses, which are Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. M.Techs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, & Computer Science Engineering are at postgraduate level in BPUT. The institute also has an MBA course, which is a full-time course of 2 years with a strength of 120 students intake. For those who especially have a penchant for vocational education, B.Voc programmes in automobile servicing and electrical systems and maintenance are offered. This option clearly translates the research interests of the institute from operational Ph.D. programmes offered in different engineering disciplines and management.
The admission process at the KU School of Engineering, Technology, and Management differs from one programme to another. In the case of B.Tech programmes, all programmes have admission through entrance exams such as JEE-Main, Assam CEE, or the university examination known as KUEST.
