Kular College of Nursing, Khanna, which formally came into operation in 2008, is famed nursing education college in Punjab, India. This co-educational college is affiliated with the University of Calcutta and is recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) for its multiple nursing courses for the career-nursing aspirants. In a vast 6 acre complex, the college has a total strength of 314 students and an academic staff of 49 faculties. Kular College of Nursing aims to offer quality education for the equipment of nurses in the existing world of health systems.
Kular College of Nursing provides all necessary resources and amenities to meet students’ academic needs and personal development. The library also consists of more than 3150 books and has subscribed to ten National and eight International journals for the students to read. Most classrooms are well equipped with projectors, LCD, projectors, speakers etc. making learning an interesting process. The Nursing Foundation lab is about 3,000sq and equipped with advanced technology mainly electronic dummies and cardiac monitor to give real sense of the hospital. The computer laboratory which measures 1500 sq liters will provide students easy access to state of art equipment, internet facilities for research and practice in computer skills.
This school offers four full-time nursing courses to meet all levels of nursing training needs. These include B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM). The total approved intake of students offered in these programmes are 150; 60 for B.Sc Nursing, 40 for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and 50 for GNM. Every course aims at helping students to have the sound knowledge in theory and practice in nursing to equip them practice in health care industry.

Admission to this undergraduate programme, which runs for four years, is based on the performance of the candidate in the 10+2 examination with science subjects. The merit basis selection is acquired for admission into this degree program.
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This two-year course has an annual intake of 40 students and is meant for registered nurses intending to upgrade their qualifications. Completed the diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and have the valid nursing registration certificate. This fits into the eligibility for this program.
GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) : The GNM program offered at Kular College of Nursing has an approved intake of 50 students. This program can be done as a three-year diploma course for students who have completed their 10+2 education. The admission process is the same as for the B.Sc Nursing program and individuals are selected based on their academic merits.
ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery): The college provides a certificate course in this course. The admission procedure for this program follows other programs by direct admission as follows:
