Kultikri Teachers Training Institute of Higher Studies, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, is a committed institute in the field of teacher education. In 2014, this institute was set up as a co-educational one which works in the sphere of teacher training and has gained recognition in a short time. The institute is spread over an area of about 1 acre campus and is offering two courses in the field of education only. This college has a policy of admitting 200 students in total and a faculty of 11 which is good in providing focused learning. The institute is an affiliated college and has been recognised by NCTE or National Council for Teacher Education which maintain the standard in teacher education at national level.

Kultikri Teachers Training Institute of Higher Studies has modern facilities that create a comfortable and favourable environment in the study of students. A well-stocked library remains the key source of information that is relevant in the educational process of would-be teachers. The campus has facilities to accommodate students both for boys and girls that allow students who come from different regions to live comfortably. Internet connection in the camps allows students to remain connected and have internet access for academic use. The institute also has laboratories, particularly for practical placement, an auditorium for events /seminars and a cafeteria for the mid morning /mid afternoon tea break. Sports amenities are equipped for athletic purposes, and a health centre with first aid treatment privileges is provided for the medical management of the students. Kultikri Teachers Training Institute of Higher Studies has designed two full time programme in teacher education. The B.Ed programme has a total of one hundred seats and the D.El.Ed programme has total fifty seats. Both the programmes take two years to complete and offer information in the teaching-learning process and theories in education. At present, the institute has a total student enrolment of 200 enrolled in the two programmes, a clear indication of specialised training in teachers.

Kultikri Teachers Training Institute of Higher Studies has fairly simple admission criteria which include marks obtained in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination. As for the B.Ed programme, admission is based on guidelines set by the state and the University with which the college is affiliated to. The D.El.Ed programme has the same process to follow in line with the set protocol of the administering state government or UT administration. The presence of graduates indicate that the institute provides focused education and practical training towards developing highly qualified educators who effectively secure jobs within the education marketplace.
