Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda Polytechnic, Sullia has been catering the technical education needs for the people of Karnataka right from 1967. Located in a baronial 6.89 acres, the polytechnic has a total student enrolment of 739 and faculty of 41 members. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda Polytechnic lays claim to offering an all-round learning experience to the student. The institute has well equipped campus having necessary accommodation facilities for academics and co-curricular activities. One unique from is that there is a rich library with an area of more than 1000 sq.Ft. and 200 students can sit here comfortably. It contains as many as 10250 books and over 1000 different titles technical and 10 non-technical journals and 20 technical and 10 non technical journals. The open access in book bank in the library has been observed meeting with both SC/ST students as well as the general students. for those who need to be accommodated, the institute provides for the hostel for boys and a hostel for the girl child. Every block of hostels is specifically run by caretakers and supply simple furniture along with other necessities inside the rooms.
