KVG Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Sullia is a well- known institution, which is focused on the Ayurveda education and treatment began in the year 1996. This co-educational college is situated in Ambate Adka, Sullia of district Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka covers an area of 6.85 acres. Being affiliated to the college, it is a member of CCIM, Central Council for Indian Medicine. The institute has 7 courses spread across 2 degrees and a break up of 577 students and 65 faculties. KVG Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital has 7 courses ,Few of them are mentioned below, all the courses are full time only. The most popular course is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) for which there are 60 students. At present there are six MD programmes offered at the college at postgraduate level of which each course has an intake capacity of 5-6 students in different specialisations of Ayurveda. These include MD in Dravyaguna Vigyana, Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Panchakarma, Shalyatantra, Agada Tantra and Kayachikista. The total approved intake for all the courses is 94 students in a year playing a great role in the diversity of the college.
The selection process at the KVG Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital is that entrance is restricted to the national-level entrance test. For the BAMS programme, The AIHEMBB has adopted the NEET as the mode for the admissions processes. The MD programmes at the campus require an aspiring postgraduate students to complete the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate or NEET PG. The college does not compromise the admission standards and policies as set by the various regulatory authorities in the country which makes the admission very standard to respective institutions. Despite the fact that the dates of admission may differ each year, the candidate is encouraged to monitor the NEET and NEET PG exam dates as these create the admission schedule.
