KVM College of Nursing Alappuzha started in the year 2002 is one of the leading colleges of Nursing in the state of Kerala, India. This affiliated college is in Cherthala, Alappuzha, and is approved by India Nursing Council providing quality education. It is a 3-acre college which is rich in nursing programmes to meet all the needs of its students. KVM College of Nursing has approved enrolment capacity of total students 211 and faculty 25 which prepares nursing aspirants in beneficial environment in their desired stream. 7 courses are available at this institution under 2 degrees where the institution specialises in different fields of nursing such as general nursing , paediatric, obstetrics/ gynaecology, psychiatric nursing and community health nursing.

The KVM College of Nursing is also focused on bringing out the best facilities to support the learning style of the students. Facilities include laboratories such as the Fundamentals of Nursing laboratory, the Anatomy laboratory, Nutrition laboratory, and the Community Health Nursing laboratory; all containing appropriate equipment to offer practical sessions. Knowledge centre and a source of information, the college library has the collection of over 3750 books and has access to 17 journals. It is opened for thirteen hours per a day at the work of three qualified professional librarians and meet e-library and e-journal services. The institution also has state of the art computer section with over thirty computers equipped with latest information technology on nursing applications.

KVM College of Nursing has diversified its programme offering to cover all the educational needs of nursing. This institution offers 7 full courses which include under graduate and postgraduate programme. Undergraduates are trained in the degree courses such as B.Sc Nursing for one hundred students and post Basic B.Sc Nursing for thirty students. The postgraduate programmes includes, M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing, M.Sc Paediatric Nursing, M.Sc Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing, M.Sc Community Health Nursing, M.Sc Psychiatric Nursing having 5 admissions in each. These programmes are meant to prepare the students to the kind of knowledge and skills they will need at their nursing practice.

Hello dear,

I would like to inform you that the admissions for BSc. Nursing in KVM College of Nursing have already started.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or any equivalent examination recognized by any of the Universities in the State of Kerala with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and a minimum of 50% marks in English in second year to be eligible for the course. Further, candidates should be of at least 17 years of age. 50% of the seats are based on Merit, 50% are based on management Quota, and out of this, 15% of the total seats are reserved for NRI.

Application procedure:

Application for the B.Sc. Nursing course can be registered only online through a single application.For this, you can visit the website- www.pncmak.org . Submission of more than one application by a candidate can lead to rejection. Selection to Government quota is through the merit list published by ‘The Director, LBS, Centre for Science and Technology’-  www.lbscentre.in .
