Lakhimpur Girls College, Lakhimpur also known as LGC Lakhimpur was established in the year 1972. The LGC Lakhimpur College has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a ‘B++’ grade. It is affiliated with the Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh. LGC courses are provided in a total of 24 programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  The UG courses are BA, B.Sc, BA Hons, B.Sc Hons and MA degree courses offered at the PG level.

LGC Lakhimpur offers admissions to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses based on the merit of the previous 10+2/ undergraduate qualifying examination followed by a personal interview conducted by the college.
