Lakhmiri Institute of Engineering and Technology is one of the emerging educational institutions in terms of future, which was established in 2016 at Gopi Nagar, Ahera, Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is an affiliated college of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow and has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The institute is running its three diploma programs in engineering disciplines. Total number of students enrolled in this institute is 51 while faculty strength is 33 that creates focused learning environment. The college is co-educational and allows students from different backgrounds to pursue their dreams of technical education. 

The institute has varied facilities that are made to augment students' learning experiences and their academic progress. The well-stocked library is a hub of knowledge and provides students with requisite study material. For the comfort of those who need accommodation, the college provides both boys' and girls' hostels. It's its commitment to modern education that is quite obvious by having an excellent IT setup, thus keeping up with the latest changes of technology. The transport facility has been provided for the commuting students and staff, and access to the campus has been made very easy. It even cares for student health and, for this purpose, it has set up a health center where the students are given first aid and regular health check-up in collaboration with the District Hospital. To ensure full development of students in all activities, the campus has sports facilities for physical development and recreation. The campus has an auditorium for lectures and seminars besides a cafeteria for refreshments, as well as guest rooms for visiting faculty members and their family members. Specially, the college provides well-equipped laboratories for all departments where the students can acquire practical hands-on experience in their fields of study. 

Lakhmiri Institute of Engineering and Technology has visualized a organizational framework of two full-time three-year diploma courses. At present, it conducts a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60 seats and a Diploma in Mechanical Production Engineering with 30 seats. These initiatives are undertaken in order that they equip the students adequately with theory as well as practical skills in a contemporary industrial scenario. The total approved intake for these courses amounts to 90 students. This reflects the student nursery capacity of the institute. 

Admission process at Lakhmiri Institute of Engineering and Technology is simple and merit-based. Candidates aspiring to join the institution for its diploma courses are required to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination for Diploma Level Courses, conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), Lucknow. The entrance examination is the major selection process for the aspiring candidates.  The institute follows the procedure as stated by JEECUP to maintain it in a just and transparent method.
