Lala Lajpat Rai College of Arts and Commerce, Mumbai, Maharashtra, was established in 2005 and is a renowned college running a three year and five year law course in Mumbai. In keeping with professional standards in the college, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has recognised the college by giving it its approval. At present, there are 178 students admitted in the College, and faculty is 5 personnel making it easier for the college to admit students and provide an environment that is best suited for personalised legal education.
Lala Lajpat Rai College of Law has modern infrastructures required by the college with to complement its students learning procedures. The technological foundation is formed by a Computer Centre equipped with i3 and i5 processor based computers with uninterrupted broadband facilities. This centre is also used to research over the internet but in addition to that prepares laptops for students’ presentations; thus, making use of both conventional and technological tuition. The college campus is WLAN enabled which helps the students to use the software easily.
Moot Court facility is the special attraction for the students who aspiring to become lawyers as the practical exposure they get here to mimic like court proceedings and polishing their advocacy skills. Lala Lajpat Rai College of Law offers two law programmes. A three years LLB course and a five years Integrated BA LLB course are foundational undergraduate programmes offered by the University of Mumbai. Both programmes are full time based on the college’s policy of offering compact legal education. The LLB programme has also an approved admitting capacity of 60 students so as to allow for better learning. The college strength of 178 students offered in two courses. Such programmes aim at avowing the learners with the basic knowledge of legal philosophy and practice that would allow them to practice in different fields of the law.
