Bhagirathi Yashwantrao Pathrikar College of Pharmacy Late, established in 2015, is an extremely young institution forging its way into pharmaceutical education. Situated at Phulambri, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, the affiliated college functioned on a spacious 3-acre campus. The institution has approvals from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), thus being aligned to national standards. Currently, 208 students are on a roll, and the faculty strength is 27; thus, the student-teacher ratio is conducive, which helps maintain an enabling atmosphere of studies. The institute offers a co-educational setup, which invites pupils from diversified races to come to this campus to fulfil their pharmaceutical dreams.
The college has a wide range of modern facilities that have been designed to provide optimum learning capabilities. Major academic resources include the Central Library, which contains extensive details from books of reference, handbooks, encyclopaedias, and Indian standards. It has a book bank facility and also caters to more than 60 students, faculty members, and support staff. State-of-the-art laboratories are designed to carry on research by modern instruments on drug design, development, and evaluation. The computer centre is equipped with the latest hardware, enhanced by campus-wide Wi-Fi. The college has separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls, with 60 students each staying and eating under the student-management of mess and a library that is provided with complete newspapers and magazines.
The Late Bhagirathi Yashwantrao Pathrikar College of Pharmacy currently offers one full-time course: the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) programme. This is a four-year undergraduate course with an approved enrolment of 100 seats as an institute concentrating on the quality aspects of pharmaceuticals. B.Pharma programme The course trains students in multifaceted knowledge and skills, including dosage form design, manufacturing technology, regulatory aspects, patents, quality control, and quality assurance in pharmacy. This niche provision allows the college to concentrate its resources and knowledge for a quality pharmaceutical education.
