Late Dr Shankarrao Satav Arts and Commerce College, Kalamnuri was established in the year 1989. It is an affiliated college of Hingoli, Maharashtra, on a campus spread over 10 acres, with two undergraduate programmes in arts and commerce. This college has an enrolment strength of 511 and a faculty strength of one. It is accredited by the NAAC for quality education.

Late Dr Shankarrao Satav Arts and Commerce College has various facilities that aim at providing different premises in which the student experience can be enhanced. The Kusumtai Chavan Women's Hostel provides an accommodation space to 39 female students and a separate boys hostel as well. A sports complex built by the government accommodates the campus with a 200 meter length track, various sports grounds, and a gymnasium where the physical fitness of the students is ensured with their recreational needs taken care of as well. The college library is implementing Inflibnet, whereby soon more digital resources will be available to the students. For technology needs a well-equipped Computer Lab with internet access is available to faculty and students alike. Campus facility includes canteen, auditorium for holding events and seminars, and first aid facilities in the health centre. 

Late Dr. Shankarrao Satav Arts and Commerce College has two undergraduate full-time programmes: BA and B.Com, of which the duration is three years for both. It has, therefore, been specialising in these two core areas to enable better attention towards students in these fields. The institution holds an energetic alumni network that could be valued for the students in their present time to help them understand the vision about their career.
