Late Vasantrao Naik College of Physical Education is the leading institution of Physical Education in Nagpur, Maharastra. This college for both sexes was founded in 1992 and has been preparing the future of physical education enthusiasts for more than 30 years. Located at the Dighori Naka on Umrer Road, the college is spread over 1 acre of land which are very congested. Being an affiliated college it functions under the grant of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to follow the national norms for teacher education. As of now, the institute runs two postgraduate courses comprising of a total of 292 students and has a team of 6 committed professionals. 

Late Vasantrao Naik College of Physical Education provides various and diverse amenities that serve not only the educational but also the physical needs of the pupils. Sports facilities are an essential part of the institution through which students are provided with practical fields to train themselves. A well-equipped library is an important knowledge resource centre that provides necessary and essential materials for a child’s academic development. The college also holds some departmental laboratories to ensure that students practice on real apparatus. In the physical fitness and training area, a new gym facility is allowed for students. 

Late Vasantrao Naik College of Physical Education provide two regular courses for its students at the college level and courses for two different graduate and post-graduate standards. B.P.Ed has an intake capacity for 100 students and M.P.Ed has an intake of only 30 students and both course take 3 years and 2 years respectively to complete. 

The Late Vasantrao Naik College of Physical Education itself admits the students on the basis of marks awarded in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. The college possesses certain admission policies as envisaged by the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated University.
