Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya, established in 2008, is an affiliated college of Madaripur. Situated in over 4.2 acres of land, this institution is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Four distinct degrees are provided by the college for a total enrolment of 450 students. Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya currently has a faculty strength of 23 members, which includes only the committed and dedicated educators for their students For candidates, the college has a good number of students for each teacher to ensure quality education.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.A.: Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya aptly attracts students into the multiple streams of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) without mentioning minute admission criteria. However, for B.A. courses in general, candidates should have completed 10+2 from any recognized board with relevant subjects. Selection usually is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
B.Sc.: The college offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) courses. Admission into this course depends on the performance of the candidates in science subjects on the 10+212 examination. Interested students are expected to verify that they meet the eligibility criteria specified by the college.
B.Ed.: Available to an influx of 100 students, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is offered at Laxmi Devi Mahavidyalaya. The B.Ed admission procedure is on merit, which considers the candidate's performance in the 10+2+3. Those candidates who qualify the merit listing will be called for a personal interview.
D.El.Ed.: The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course has been approved for an intake of 50 students.
