Laxmi Narayan College was established in the year 1969 to serve as pioneer institution of higher education of Jharsuguda & Odisha. Based at Kalimandir Road this affiliated college had been educating young generation for more than half a century. The institution occupies a vast piece of land with a size of 12 acres; it provides over 13 courses in six degree programmes. It has total enrolment of 867 students and faculties of 34 so it comprise small class size of learning. This college has acquired the NAAC accreditation and is making its quality education accessible in Arts Stream, Science, Commerce, etc.
