Located in serene Thiruvananthapuram, the LBS Institute of Technology for Women (LBSITW) is well-known for imparting high-quality technical education to women of the society, the institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in different fields of engineering. The admission program at LBSITW aims at selecting the most deserving and meritorious female candidates among the various options provided. Normally, the university carries out admission on the basis of entrance examinations taken at the state level for different types of programs. The entrance scores for undergraduate programs are based on the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM). The entrance exam is normally held in April; the simulated KEAM exam will be held from April 24 to 28, 2025. For postgraduate admissions, the GATE scores are taken into account.

To qualify for undergraduate programs, candidates must have passed the 10+2 level or equivalent, in which Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry are compulsory subjects. For postgraduate programs, the candidates must have passed the bachelor's degree in the relevant branch of engineering from an approved university.  After the announcement of the results of the entrance examinations, usually, the admission for LBSITW begins. Application Process

Normally, the application process of LBS Institute of Technology for Women is dependent on the program:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Apply for the KEAM entrance examination.
2. Register for the centralized allotment processes regulated by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala.
3. Fill the online application for admission and furnish all personal and academic details.
4. Upload documents as required including KEAM score card, 10+2 mark sheets and other certificates as specified.
5. Pay online application fee.
6. Attend counseling if called.
7. Attend LBSITW for verification of documents and completion of admission process if given a seat.

For M.Tech programs: 

1. Candidates should qualify in GATE examination,
2. Afterward they can apply for admission directly to LBSITW or via centralized admission process whichever applicable, 
3. GATE score card and all other required documents must be submitted, 
4. Interview or other tests should be attended if the institute conducts it, 
5. After selection, candidates must complete admission formalities by remitting the fee and submitting original documents.

For Ph.D programs:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: There are six B.Tech programs offered by LBSITW, including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering. Admission to these programs is determined by the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam KEAM. There are a total of 420 available seats in the various B.Tech programs, with Computer Science and Engineering having the largest intake of 180 seats.

M.Tech: The two M.Tech programs that are provided in the institute are Computer Science and Engineering and Signal Processing. Each program has an approved intake of 24. Specific details of admission can not be found, but it is presumed that admissions are granted based on GATE scores followed possibly by an interview.

Ph.D.: These programs are offered in Ph.D. Computer Science and Engineering and Communications Engineering from LBSITW. The procedure for admission to such Ph.D. programs will require a written test and/or interview, but candidates are always advised to check with the institute for clarification in terms of any details and requirements.

Diploma: There are also diploma programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Each of these diploma programs has an intake of 60 seats.
