Lingaraj College Belagavi, was started in the year 1933, is an autonomous college in the state of Karnataka, India. This time-tested institution is spread in a twenty five acre land and has been in service for eight and half decades. The college has a total student enrollment of 1,584 students with female students equaling 931 while male students totaling 679. Recognized by the NAAC, Lingaraj College is spread across 25 acres and provides many academic programs, 6 courses in particular over 5 degrees. The institution is fortunate to have a very committed team of teach er’s comprising of 55 members and this means that the students are well taken care of to produce the best results.

On this basis the college takes pride in offering quality learning facilities complemented by modern facilities. The edifice that most characterizes this library is a befitting one for book lovers; the library has recorded over 101,065 volumes of books and 85 periodicals to cater for the students’ and faculty’s thirst for knowledge. Language laboratory in the institution is also modern with sophisticated software and gadgets in the disposition for fifteen learners at a time for the sharpening of their communication skills. The Digital Vision Computer laboratory equipped with 45 Pentium III Compaq computers meets the technological expectation of students in different fields. Concerning general well-being, the college provides convenient access to medical services through K.L.E. City Poly Clinic & Dental Clinic respectively at reasonable charges.

About Academic programmes Lingaraj College has a diverse list of courses which include both under graduate and post graduate programmes. The institution offers 6 full – time courses with the main courses being B.Com, BA, BBA, MA English, MA Economics and M.Com. All these programs are meant to respond to diverse academic concerns and professional goals. The college currently has a total student capacity of 1,584 with 1,561 taking undergraduate courses and 49 taking post graduate studies in the college. The college reimbursement 2021 shows that out of all of the students from undergraduate programs who applied for reimbursement, 522 were reimbursed while 23 of the post graduate students’ reimbursement were also approved reflecting the institutions’ financial support to its students.

Lingaraj College follows the merit system for most of the admission and follows the rules of reservation. The management of the college follows a reservation policy whereby it offers SC candidate reservation of 15%, the ST candidates 3% and the remaining categories 32%. This helps them to bring in students from different many diverse backgrounds. The college does not set any specific entrance examinations regarding the admissions policies; however, the qualification examinations’ academic performance is the primary criterion for admission.
