The Little Flower Institute of Medical Science and Research (LFIMSR) is a private College of Medical Sciences, founded in 2005 Angamaly KERALA. Being a constituent college of Kerala university of health sciences, Thrissur the LFIMSR offers a wide variety of 10 courses under seven degrees in medicine and para medicine science. At present 317 students and 45 faculties are available in the institute spread over 3 acres with focus on quality education and an individual student faculty ratio. Together, LFIMSR offers a nice range of programs such as BPT, B.Optom, MHA, M.Optom, M.Sc. Medical Physiology and PhD courses with an academic period of two to six years.

In any case, LFIMSR offers a rich variety of facilities that improve the students’ experience. There is a large hall to accommodate 600 people on the campus, suitable for college activities including conferences. Full Amenities: conducive and secured hostels for male and female students. On-campus canteen provides quality and adequate fresh foods at reduced prices necessary for the nutrition of students and staff. 

The library in the institute is well stocked with modern day resources such as E – books, E- Journals and Textbooks, required for academic research and knowledge enhancement. Department specialized sophisticated laboratories enable students’ practical application of the acquired theoretical knowledge. Other facilities are transport facilities, a place for a bank with ATM and cashier services, guest accommodation, a fitness centre, and playing fields, all in a bid to enhance balanced student activities.

In total, the institute enrols students in 10 courses, in both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These include full time programmes in physiotherapy, optometry, health care management, and medical laboratory sciences. According to the capacities of the courses offered, the total number of students in the college is 317. For example, the BPT and B.Optom programmes are approved for intakes of 30 students each as the MHA programme only allows for 20 students. The postgraduate courses include M.Optom and M.Sc Medical Physiology, which takes 10 students each, while the other specializations such as MPT Musculoskeletal and Sports and MPT Neurology take only 4 and 2 students respectively.

The admission procedure of LFIMSR differs from course to course. For under graduate courses such BPT and B.Optom, the admissions are usually given based on merit. Some of the postgraduate courses that include MHA, M.Optom, M.Sc Medical Physiology and MPT programs use academic achievement besides the college administered interview. 

Admission to various courses is offered round throughout the year while having set dates still for each course offered. Surprisingly, for many of the premier B-schools in India, there are no mentioned entrance exams on LFIMSR website or other official communications, but it is always better to visit the official website of this particular institute and review the information concerning the entrance requirements and deadlines.
