One of the premier constituent colleges, LJ Institute of Pharmacy, was established in the year 2004 at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. This institution is co-educational and is located near Sarkhej-Sanand Circle on S.G. Road, spread over 1.25 acres of land. LJIP has been approved by AICTE and PCI to offer quality education in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The institute has an approximate total enrollment of 610 students with a faculty strength of 33, which helps in maintaining a good student-teacher ratio. Courses offered in LJIP are 5 in number across 2-degree levels, with their main area of specialization being in different areas related to pharmacy education.
Its infrastructure is well-equipped with all modern facilities that shall help in the overall development of the students. With a collection of over 9000 books and 13 journals, updating is regularly carried out to maintain it as a well-stocked library. An e-hub equipped with 10 multimedia computer systems to access e-resources emanating from it. The course work at LJIP, which emphasizes learning by doing, can be gauged through its 12 laboratories for the B.Pharm. along with 10 advanced laboratories for its M.Pharm. programs, which are fully equipped with the latest instruments and equipment. The campus also houses a health centre having first-aid facilities, a canteen, and separate hostels for boys and girls. The institution has sports facilities and a gym, promoting an overall outlook on student development for students who love sports and fitness.
LJI Pharmacy offers a comprehensive range of pharmacy programs—its undergraduate and four postgraduate courses. The B. Pharm. program is a four-year full-time course with an approved intake of 100 students. At the postgraduate level, the Institute offers M. Pharm. Programs in Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs, each running for two years of full-time study. The M. Pharm. in Pharmaceutical Technology will have 18 seats.
The admission process of the LJ Institute of Pharmacy is designed to be comprehensive and entirely merit-based. Generally, almost all the institutes of pharmacy consider the performance of the candidate in relevant entrance examinations and his/her academic records.

The LJ Pharmacy College is a very good college. They have a good academic wing. The benches are good. The classrooms are big and adequate with good ventilation. The washrooms were untidy though and unhygienic and are not maintained.

To get admission in B. Pharmacy, you must get the required percentage that is 50 per cent in 10+2 and in the qualifying examination.
You can either try the national level entrance examination for B. Pharm. or various other state-level entrance examinations such as TS EAMCET, AP EAMCET, BCECE, and WBJEE among others.
