Lokmangal College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Wadala: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Lokmangal College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Wadala, was established in the year of 2008, Solapur, Maharashtra, affiliated college. This school is co-educational and specialized in providing education on agricultural biotechnology; it has 2 baccalaureate programs. Located on a fifty-acre campus the college has an aggregate enrolment of 134 students with eleven fulltime faculty members. The institute will ensure that it produces quality education in the area of concern which is agricultural biotechnology in order to respond to the dynamic nature of the challenges facing the agricultural sector.

There are many services available at the college that staff and students can use to improve their learning. The campus facilities are comprised of fully equipped laboratories comprising of among others, the modern Central Instrumentation Laboratory housing; Gradient PCR, Nanodrop spectrophotometer and Gel Documentation System. It serves as a resource center with stocked books, journals and electronic resources in agriculture and related disciplines. For games and sports, the college offers facility for games like Cricket, Kabaddi, Football, Basket ball besides other indoor games. The campus also has an auditorium for holding programs/invited lectures, separate hostels for boys and girls, multi-cuisine cafeteria, and a gym for the sports freak. In order to accommodate the health care needs of students the college has a clinic with a physician attending the college twice a week. 

Lokmangal College of Agricultural Biotechnology offers two full-time undergraduate programs: There are two courses that students can take, that is the B.Tech Biotechnology and the B.sc Agriculture Biotechnology. The intake capacity of the B.Tech Biotechnology program is forty students and for the B.Sc Agriculture Biotechnology the intake has not been mentioned. The two are four-year courses which aim at giving the students a stable footing in agricultural biotechnology. More so, the college’s’ concentration in such specializations is because of its exploration in meeting the society’s careers inadequacy in the agricultural biotechnology industry. 

The admission criteria for both courses in Lokmangal College of Agricultural Biotechnology is specific entrance tests. The latest required tests for admission to various levels consists of MHT–CET, JEE Main, NEET, and ICAR AIEEA–UG conducted by competent authorities for admission to various levels. These examinations assess the candidates’ knowledge in subjects passed as PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), or PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). Since the college allows the admission committee to accept multiple entrance exams, it is convenient for the learners with different abilities. In order to assist the students in their pursuits academically, the college has a Training and Placement Cell. This cell also provides informations regarding campus placements and the recruitment schedule for the graduating students to the prospective employers. NSS/NSS/Arts and crafts are also provided for the students in order to enhance their participation level Germ Granted and make them over all personalities. Being a Colege of Agricultural Biotechnology with an emphasis towards education and training facilities, infrastructure and educational facilities at Wadala, Lokmangal College of Agricultural Biotechnologyis intended to produce skilled manpower to support the advancement of agriculture and biotechnology fields.
