Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital, Post Graduate Institute and Research Center, Sangli (LRPAMC) is one of the most prestigious institutions offering a wide range of Ayurvedic programs at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The admission process at LRPAMC is designed to select the most qualified and dedicated students for its various programs.

It strictly adheres to the national level entrance examinations structured admission cycle. Admissions are taken for BAMS courses via the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) and through the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) for PG admissions in the form of MD and MS. NEET PG scores are accepted by the institute for some of its courses as well.

It can vary as it depends upon the program. Candidates must have an 10+2 qualification with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, for BAMS. Applicants should possess a BAMS degree or any equivalent qualification that has been registered from a well-known university while applying for Postgraduate courses. Specific eligibility is given for different programs under each course.

Application Process

The application process differs for LRPAMC as follows for the programs:

For BAMS:

1. Qualify NEET UG examination.
2. Register for the state level counseling process because LRPAMC is the college that has its affiliation at the state level.
3. Application according to the prescribed format of the counseling authority.
4. Submission of the required documents. These documents include NEET UG score card, 10+2 mark sheet, and other certificates according to the requirements.
5. Report to the counseling process for seat allotment.

For MD/MS Programs:

1. Qualify AIAPGET
2. Apply for AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee counseling procedure.
3. If required, fill the LRPAMC application form with AACCC counseling registration.
4. Submit all these documents, like AIAPGET score card, BAMS degree certificate, completion certificate of internship, and other certificates required.
5. Counseling for seat allotment for the preferred specialization.

For PhD programs:

1. Check the detailed admission notice for PhD programs at LRPAMC website.
2. Fill up the prescribed PhD application form from the institute.
3. Attach the postgraduate degree certificate, research proposal, and other relevant certificates.
4. Attend any extra entrance test or interview as considered by the institute.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS: Admission to the BAMS course at LRPAMC is done based on NEET UG scores. The course has an intake of 100 seats and follows the admission process as devised by the Government of India. Candidates who qualify NEET UG are eligible to apply for the BAMS course.

MD/MS: LRPAMC provides a number of MD and MS courses in Ayurvedic specializations. The institute mainly admits students into these postgraduate courses through the AIAPGET. The institute has 13 MD/MS courses, with an intake of 3 to 6 seats per specialization. Some of the popular courses are MD Kayachikitsa, MS Shalya Tantra, MD Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, and MS Prasuti Tantra and Stri Roga.

PhD: The institute offers a doctorate in 9 Ayurvedic disciplines. All the PhD programmes have an intake of 3 seats except PhD in Rasashastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana that has 6 seats. PhD programmes may conduct additional screening apart from entrance examination scores.
