The admission process in the LRPAMC is mainly based on the national level entrance examinations. The BAMS course, as devised by the Government of India, is admitted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET PG. Admission to the postgraduate level for MD and MS courses is based on the results of the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test AIAPGET. The results of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Post Graduate, NEET PG, are accepted for some courses.

Degree wise Admission Process
BAMS: Admission to the BAMS course at LRPAMC is done based on NEET UG scores. The course has an intake of 100 seats and follows the admission process as devised by the Government of India. Candidates who qualify NEET UG are eligible to apply for the BAMS course.
MD/MS: LRPAMC provides a number of MD and MS courses in Ayurvedic specializations. The institute mainly admits students into these postgraduate courses through the AIAPGET. The institute has 13 MD/MS courses, with an intake of 3 to 6 seats per specialization. Some of the popular courses are MD Kayachikitsa, MS Shalya Tantra, MD Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, and MS Prasuti Tantra and Stri Roga.
PhD: The institute offers a doctorate in 9 Ayurvedic disciplines. All the PhD programmes have an intake of 3 seats except PhD in Rasashastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana that has 6 seats. PhD programmes may conduct additional screening apart from entrance examination scores.
