LICOE was established in the year 2013, is a co-educational college is located in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college is also recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which aims at the sanctity of teaching profession. The college is located in a small land area of 3 acres, and as of now, the college is running with total student strength of 191 and has a faculty of 10 members. Lord Jegannath College of Education currently only has one program that it offers, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) THE institution offers one program for a batch of 100 students only, with an approval to train would be teachers.

It has available learning amenities that can help change or improve the nuance of learning in the college. The library, open from 7 AM to 10:from 30 PM daily, contains more than 5000 books on different streams and contains national as well international magazines and journals. For practical learning purpose, the institution has good laboratory facilities such as Language Laboratory, Educational Technology Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, Psychology Laboratory and Physical Science Laboratory. In terms of information technology the college also focuses on the IT infrastructure of the college, The college is facilitated with high speed internet facility which can be easily accessed from microwave radio link and at a speed of 16 mpbs and students are also provide updated and relevant information related to their areas of concern.

The Lord Jegannath College of Education also follows a full time 4-semester B.Ed program where the duration of study is two years. This programme is meant to help produce professional teachers capable of practice in the field of education as an added up course. The college was pleased to keep a total capacity intake of one hundred and ninety one students throughout the academic years of the course which help the college to offer quality teaching to all individual students.
