Lord Krishna College of Education, Sultanpur Lodhi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The establishment of Lord Krishna College of Education was in the year 2005 and it is widely accredited Educational Institute situated at Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab. This is a co-educational college situated in a 8.2 acre large campus and it aims to produce future of educators. An affiliated college is part of a much larger university so Mayaan College has the advantage of providing quality education in terms with the standard set by the affiliated universities. The college too has received the recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) this proved its stand in ensuring that it offers quality teacher education.

It also has several which are very much developed to ensure the students get the best environment to learn from. A collection of books and teaching aids in a logical sequence is a library which is very important in enabling students acquire the information they need. The college also provides students with IT that complies with the modern technological advancement of institution. To enhance the laboratory practical, gifted and budding teachers of the college enjoy well-equipped and maintained laboratories. 

There is also an auditorium space for occasions of this nature and seminars making the life of a campus competitive academic one. To meet the students’ need for physical activity, there is a gym on campus, and if the students get hungry or thirsty, they can find a cafeteria where they can socialize and eat/drink. For ladies who need to be accommodated the college has a girls’ hostel to facilitate the students and ensure they feel secure.

At present, Lord Krishna College of Education is running only two full time courses related to education field. The B.Ed program, which is affiliated to deemed university and has an intake capacity of 100 students, was commenced to produce professional teachers for Secondary and Higher Secondary level in the country and it is a two year course. 

There is another two-year course for 50 seats, called Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) which is designed to prepare teachers for primary and upper primary levels. Design of Both courses is such that, while imparting the theoretical knowledge it also focuses on the nature of teaching skill required to face contemporary classrooms as and when the graduates join the system. The total admissions that are granted to both programs is one hundred and fifty while the college has retained a faculty staff of sixteen members making it possible to achieve a student instructor ratio to enhance individualized counselling where possible.

In order to maintain justice and balance the admission policy of Lord Krishna College of Education is made. In view of the B.Ed programme it is very much based on merit, marks scored in the qualifying test prescribed for admission or any entrance examination. The college also adheres to any other processes for selection as may beطن hegencly’S required by the state government, Union Territory administration or the affiliated university. 

Likewise, while admitting candidates for D.El.Ed programme, the criterion and procedure followed are based on marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test as prescribed by the State Government / UT administration. It helps the college to admit those students who can be of significant productive value to the society in the future, in the field of education with special focus on teaching.
