The establishment of Lord Krishna College of Education was in the year 2005 and it is widely accredited Educational Institute situated at Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab. This is a co-educational college situated in a 8 acre large campus and it aims to produce future of educators. An affiliated college is part of a much larger university so Mayaan College has the advantage of providing quality education in terms with the standard set by the affiliated universities. The college too has received the recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) this proved its stand in ensuring that it offers quality teacher education.
It also has several which are very much developed to ensure the students get the best environment to learn from. A collection of books and teaching aids in a logical sequence is a library which is very important in enabling students acquire the information they need. The college also provides students with IT that complies with the modern technological advancement of institution. To enhance the laboratory practical, gifted and budding teachers of the college enjoy well-equipped and maintained laboratories. There is also an auditorium space for occasions of this nature and seminars making the life of a campus competitive academic one. To meet the students’ need for physical activity, there is a gym on campus, and if the students get hungry or thirsty, they can find a cafeteria where they can socialize and eat/drink. For ladies who need to be accommodated the college has a girls’ hostel to facilitate the students and ensure they feel secure.
At present, Lord Krishna College of Education is running only two full time courses related to education field. The B.Ed program, which is affiliated to deemed university and has an intake capacity of 100 students, was commenced to produce professional teachers for Secondary and Higher Secondary level in the country and it is a two year course. There is another two-year course for 50 seats, called Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) which is designed to prepare teachers for primary and upper primary levels.

Lord Krishna College of Education B.Ed programme is a two-year full-time programme with sanctioned intake of 100 seats for preparing professional Secondary and Higher Secondary level teachers. Admission to B.Ed programme is on merit basis based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the affiliated university.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The college offers the two-year D.El.Ed course for preparing teachers at primary and upper primary levels. The intake for the course is sanctioned by the college at 50 seats. The admission to D.El.Ed is merit-based based on the marks scored in the entrance test and/or the qualifying test, according to the guidelines of the state government/UT Administration.
