Candidates for admission to GNM should have passed plus two or equivalent examinations with English as one subject, a minimum of 40 % marks from any recognized board. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category with a pass mark (5% of the total mark is relaxed) are eligible for application. Science group with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology is preferable. In its absence, candidates with other groups also will be considered. · Candidates from State open Schools recognized by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible for admission. Registered ANM also can apply. Candidates who have passed 10+2 Health Care Science – Vocational stream from a recognized CBSE Board/State/Centre are also eligible for application.
